I participated in the Salbert cycling climb on Saturday!
October 3! 2015! the final round of the FSGT climbing 2015 Salbert trophy . The weather conditions
were once again favorable for the organizers (ACTB) and the participants
with beautiful sunshine at 20 degrees. 85 participants took the start! which
is again a very good turnout since the record was 87 in 2014.
The departure under superb weather conditions
To try to do well! I tried the famous 30/15 PMA 2015 Salbert cycle
for 3 weeks . Following my numerous positive feedbacks on this
protocol! I tried it again on myself with
8 sessions and 2 series of 14x (30/15)
per session in the Salbert precisely since 09/15. A first test on 09/16
gave me 328wmoy over 10’05 which corresponded b2b email list to my level in 2015. Not enough to shine for the climb
since you have to add 80 m and about
ten seconds to arrive on the official line compared to my test. As already said in previous editions! 10-minute efforts are not my
cup of tea… I always manage to motivate myself in the last weeks for this time
but it is often too little with a few watts of emotional marketing and how to apply it in your brand strategy? gain at stake… My
feelings on the 30/15 were like those already mentioned! difficult! very short
15s of recovery but ultimately a good adaptation to each new session. As
we can see below with the evolution of the 10-minute peaks over the last 3
weeks! the improvements have been very good.
Peak power 10 min of the last 3 weeks
To my great surprise I was holding 340w a few days before the
time trial to finish at 345w on the day! In 2014 my cycle rather focused on
long intervals around 330w had not been as efficient with only 7 to 8 watts be numbers of improvement (330 to 338 w) . Here it is practically 20 watts
better in 3 weeks! Quite impressive and allowing me to establish my
best time on this climb in the 6 years that I have done it (9’50! vs 9’59 in 2014).
