The display speed is very good and it’s hard to say which is the fastest on a 3s smoothing! For sprints and power peaks, we’re also very close. The C1s don’t miss anything or almost nothing. Overall, the maximum power peak is this time a little underestimated, around 20/30 watts average towards 1200 watts.
Let us also remember that depending on the acquisition of the
meter the peak can be more or less seen…indeed between a C1: Average power Garmin 500 and a
PC8 coupled on the same sensor
recording every second, the
power peaks are not identical by a few watts, yet telegram data coming from the same sensor…By multiplying the
measurements we can refine the precision of the display which I think is around
20/30 watts of underestimation for the C1. It is very good therefore. I also tested C1: Average power the C1 in comparison vs G3 on E motion roller and there no need for a 2nd sensor to realize the seriousness of the measurements.After 10 minutes of warm-up on 52/11, we had each time 205w @ 65rpm in recovery after each split intensity or sprints. The sprints are this time measured a little less high than on G3, the torque peak being reached more quickly than on the road, the G3 seems faster in the acquisition. But the gap remained stable around 80w and that’s what matters.
Test on HT
Owners of Edge 510/520/810/1000 computers will be able to have
their left/right pedaling efficiency. This remains an estimate, a bit like
Power2Max through the study of power peaks in the
push/pull phases, and different from P1 pedals for which we have a real
separate measurement.
The test is ongoing and if there are any changes
to the conclusions, it will be plats is a growing ad network updated. Given the very high demand for information on
this product, I wanted to do a first
validation test. At this price (750 euros), this C1 system seems to be a
very good opportunity to test the power reliably without breaking the bank
if you have a compatible crankset. Pure sprinters may be be numbers able
to turn to the P1 pedals, the G3 hub or an SRM to combine precision and even
faster acquisition.
