Addressing the importance of equal rights for people with disabilities and the problem of accessibility in Ukraine
Every year on December 3! the world celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This date is a reminder of the importance of equal rights and opportunities for all! regardless of nosologies and functional capabilities. On the occasion of this day! I decided to write this text to once again draw attention to the problems The right to in the implementation of the fundamental rights of persons with disabilities.
My name is Zelinsky Danylo. I was born with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy! but this b2b email list did not prevent me from leading an active lifestyle and achieving my goals. I am a multiple Ukrainian champion in parakarate! a participant in international competitions. At the same time! I know how difficult it is for people with disabilities in Ukraine to fight not only for their rights! but also for the basic conditions for a comfortable life.
In Ukraine! the issue of accessibility remains complex.
Even modern infrastructure facilities
Such as shopping malls! cafes or office centers! are not always properly equipped and take into account the nes of people with disabilities in full. From my experience! I can say that architectural example of a digital strategy crash accessibility in our country is often limited to formality and is reflect only on paper. For example! shelters for people with limit mobility in wartime are extremely important! but their arrangement according to all standards of inclusion remains a problem. People with disabilities should feel safe and comfortable! not isolated and helpless.
When I perform at international sporting events! I see how things could be different. Airports abroad are equipp with special facilities for people with disabilities! and sports complexes are mostly designed to the aol email list highest standards of accessibility. Unfortunately! the same cannot be said about domestic sports facilities! which are left over from Soviet times! when people with disabilities were simply ignored.
